This project presents a packaging design for the famous brand Barilla, created as a student of Master studies for the course Illustration in the Function of Brand. The task was to reinterpret an existing brand that either lacks illustration or uses it minimally, by introducing an illustrative approach into its visual identity. The concept is based on Barilla’s wide range of pasta varieties, aiming to visually communicate the product type through illustration. The illustrations are designed to allow customers or store staff to immediately recognize the type of pasta on the shelf, without the need to read product names or search for reference images.
